Karl Szmolinsky, a German rabbit breeder, has developed a line of rabbits that weigh in at about 20 lbs and can be used as a food source in areas where food supply is a problem. Areas like North Korea, maybe. North Korea contacted Szmolinsky and requested a breeding stock of 8 females and 4 males to jump start a breeding program there. Szmolinsky happily shipped the giant rabbits out, but when he requested to come visit them to see how they were thriving, North Korea became suddenly uncommunicative.
“Giant rabbits? Nooo… we haven’t see anything like that around here.”
The giant rabbit breeding stock is believed to have been eaten by North Korean heads of state. Which is just as well, because the combination of giant rabbits and nuclear testing has never gone well.
