Today the Senate meets and will do its part in discussing certain goals, issues, and bills that have been presented and taking another step forward in ensuring that the United States continues to run smoothly. But what I’m really interested in is the final consensus on the bill that was proposed by Senators Sam Brownback and Mary Landrieu back in the beginning of July. What is this bill, you may ask?
Why, it’s none other than the Human-Animal Hybrid Prohibition Act of 2009!
I’m very interested in the fate of this bill because it could mean the difference between a very boring future, and a fucking awesome one. Just think, if this bill passes then we will never be able to recreate Greek mythology with all of its half-human gods, demi-gods, and fae. Or be able to turn our marines into sub-aquatic killers with gills and webbed phalanges. How will we live our dream of “Water World” with this “Prohibition Act of 2009″ to hinder all of our scientific wants and needs? How, I say??
I hope this bill goes down the tube and the rest of the senators realize how ridiculous it is to prevent science from doing what it does best, what it was meant to do: screwing with DNA and making hideous creatures.
