Talk about overkill. Some little old lady who is far from vulnerable and helpless beat an otherwise helpless baby deer to death with her shovel. Why?
Because it was in her flower garden, and she thought it was dangerous.
Obviously. I mean, if I saw a deer just sitting in my front yard not doing anything, I would automatically assume it was plotting my demise and go beat its brains in. That’s definitely the better course than just trying to shoo it away or, you know, just leaving it alone since it wasn’t doing any real harm.
Old lady or not, I hope she gets charged and lightens up a little. I’d hate to see what happens to a hummingbird that accidentally alighted upon her front porch.
