We all knew the Spiderman movies were going to return, third movie disaster not withstanding. But it seems Sam Raimi learned his lesson from that and he wants to make it up to us by improving the next Spiderman movie. How will he do this? By giving Bruce Campbell a bigger role, of course!
I can’t believe he didn’t think of this before. It’s so obvious that the way to improve a movie franchise is to have more Bruce Campbell. It’s like the cowbell for the Blue Oyster Cult- it just works. I think Bruce has had it coming to him after all these years of being good friends with Sam (since they were teenagers, no less) and sticking with him through thick and thin. The My Name is Bruce star could use a little more silver screen time anyway, and the Drag Me To Hell creator needs to stick to his roots a little more.
As much as Spidey 3 was disappointing, I still want to have faith in Sam Raimi’s vision. So until more news pops up, as not even Bruce Campbell knows exactly what he’ll be doing, all we can do is hope for the best.
