Terminator Salvation is a fast-paced 3rd person shooter. To my surprise, the game was relatively simple. All of the fundamental information that you need is presented by the protagonist’s radio calls and throughout the squad’s verbal communications. To survive in the game, you must move with haste, and use your understanding of your enemy.

The protagonist, John Connor, narrates throughout the game, describing his experiences and encounters with the machines that are taking over the earth and bent on destroying all of humankind. He is a soldier in a faction known as the Resistance which is dedicated to eradicating the machines and Skynet.

The controls are not far from your generic shoot-em-up game. They don’t allow for much freedom, nor can you do as much. I found that the controls just give too many restrictions to enjoy. The graphics for the game really are at best, mediocre. They are not ascetically pleasing at all, and it really left something to be desired.

Terminator Salvation was a real disappointment to me personally. I was excited for the release, and I can honestly say that I wasted money. I give Terminator Salvation a rating of 4 out of 10 because of the terrible, rudimentary graphics and basic story line. Don’t waste your money!
