I’d always assumed Digby was male; not so much due to some antediluvian notion that only men are capable of writing intelligently about politics, but because she never broadcasted the fact that she was female in her prose or anywhere on her site. After a barnstorming speech at Take America Back, though, it was a pleasant surprise to learn one of the progressive blogosphere’s luminaries was a woman.
