A Madrid gay couple has, ironically enough, purchased property from the late Pope John Paul II.
Alberto and Miguel Ángel bought the flat from the Catholic Church, which inherited the house from a devout catholic woman after she passed away.
The sale was mediated by the Nuncio Apostólic, an ambassador of the Vatican, who ultimately sold the home to the gay couple.
The Ángels have said, “the Church does not love us, but is happy to do business.” Bravo, Catholic Church. You saw past your out-of-date rules of judgment and went for the sale. Shouldn’t it always be that way?
P.S. How cute is it that the house is sitting comfortably at the end of a rainbow?
