Okay, I can see where they could get confused. But if the kid’s last name is McFarland, I think it’s safe to say he’s wearing it for heritage reasons and not because he wants to look cute. Though, I don’t know the kid so maybe it’s both. The principal at his school has the last name Taggart, if that’s not Scottish I don’t know what is. And if he really is Scottish, how could he be so daft as to not recognize an actual kilt versus a skirt?
