O.J. Simpson has been named as a suspect in a break-in at Palace Station Casino in Las Vegas. Sports memorabilia was allegedly stolen at gunpoint, which he claimed is rightfully his. “I didn’t steal those memorabilia items,” Simpson told investigators. “But if I did, here’s how I would have done it. I would have brought associates along to pose as police officers. I would have brought a small firearm with me in case I ran into trouble, but I wouldn’t fire it. I’d be careful to leave the room in the same condition I found it.”
The Juice is confident that if the Las Vegas District Attorney brings charges against him, he will be found innocent in the criminal trial. He is less certain of the outcome of the civil trial to follow, but has assured interested publishers regardless of its outcome, he will have the first draft to “If I Stole It: The Confessions of a Thief” completed sometime later this month.
