NASA just hasn’t been coming off real great in the media lately. On the tails of reports of stalking and diapers comes allegations of astronauts drinking on the job.
I think that NASA officials started to suspect intoxication when the astronauts began mooning the live-feed cameras on board. Perhaps, fearing an oxygen shortage like in Apollo 13, they wanted to have a large supply of urine on hand. Being an astronaut is a stressful job, and if they want to knock a couple back and endanger their lives, the lives of people they could fall on, and the millions of dollars worth of equipment they’re riding around in, i think we should be understanding.
