Did you actually read [the article]? Spouting off and creating a mass incident because the general tone of someone’s argument is disagreeing with the president is inane at best and at worst, dangerous. If you look at his points about reforms that he feels are important, at least half of them make complete sense to just about anyone. And while I disagree with some, they ALL have something intelligent to contribute to the debate. Your mass demonstration efforts are being misguided. Grow up. Talk. Listen to other people.
I agree, inasmuch as it can be applied in a general sense. Divergent viewpoints should be listened to and considered, if not ultimately accepted. Realpolitik and critical thinking are valuable tools in discussions about the future of America. I just don’t see how that applies to what Re:Generator usually does, and specifically almost everything we’ve written about politics, ever. Nuanced views have their place – just not in snark. Our “mass demonstrations” are nothing of the sort. Sorry. Learn to detect irony. Okay?
