I find Al Sharpton playing the race card on this one just a tad bit offensive. Child Molestation is “no beuno” in any language, any race or any culture. Insisting the District Attorney should release a prisoner because the Black DA is “supposed to be one of us” smacks of racism. I’m not saying the sentancing was fair, but at least let’s present a case to the contrary.
Sharpie, let the wheels of the judicial system turn, and let this one play out as it should. Insinuating this prisoner should get some kind of special treatment because of his race only hurts those in the struggle. The fairness of the law and the judgement in question is for the courts to decide, and I think it has VERY little to do with anything that Dr. King said.
