We’ve entered an age where email is old hat, as natural as breathing and nearly as unconscious; an era that, at least by the Wall Street Journal’s estimation, is defined less by email than by what has come to replace it.
In the land of microcommunication, Facebook and Twitter are now kings. Those in turn will be the bridge between that archaic method of conveying information in depth without posting it to a blog and as yet unnamed technology that streams a family member’s, friend’s, acquaintance’s or stranger’s every waking moment, whether they’re filling out paperwork, commuting home from work, using the restroom, watching a bad reality program, having sex or fighting with their significant other. In the near future, the best way to communicate with someone will be to see through their eyes. Literally.
