Robert Starvation (née Robert Schofield) is Re:Generator’s hard-working (though tragically unpaid) Editor-in-Chief. Heeding Jello Biafra’s call to “become the media,” he founded his own publication and daily blogs twice the doctor-recommended amount.
Nursing a hideous and contradictory admixture of Anarchist, Socialist, and the kind of ideas you’d expect to hear from an unwashed derelict nicknamed “the prophet” raving on a street corner, Robert spends a good two-thirds of his days repeatedly butting his head against the wall. Other hobbies include loitering, smartassery and blade running.
Robert is not: Modest. Charismatic. Ambitious. Asexual. Too quick on the uptake. Too slow on the downtake. Family friendly. Rex Ivdaeorvm.
Before starting Re:Generator Magazine, Robert ran the website CannibalScene.com (now defunct) which concerned itself with the relatively small goings-on of the Coachella Valley music scene.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Robert has written for operations not run by himself, contributing pieces to ShockHound, Palm Springs Life, The Desert Sun, Desert Post Weekly, Stereotyped and The Works Magazine (for an incomplete but exhaustive list of his published works, follow this link).
His lyrics, poetry and prose have garnered praise from The Desert Literary Society and many of his more self-important peers. Some have compared Robert’s symbolism-rich and irritatingly abstruse poetry to that of Arthur Rimbaud and T.S. Elliot. Said people are putting him on an awfully high pedestal.
Robert has hitched his wagon to Portland, Oregon’s star. Sometimes, it’s hard to see the star through the gray blanket of clouds that hang impassively over his city, but he knows it’s there.

That’s not the only odd thing Robert does. Check out his website for more sordid details!
