Why bother looking for cures to some of humanity’s deadliest diseases, or finding ways to feed the needy in the most efficient and earth-friendly way, or even solving the greater mysteries of life…. when you can use your research money to assess whether or not pulling off a band-aid quickly reduces the pain? I mean, scientists have their priorities, people, and they’re smart enough to know what’s important. So stop pestering them already!
