Except, not really secret abortions in schools. One of the main things that bothers me about this video clip of Michele Bachmann’s little speech last night was the fact that she thinks Planned Parenthood= abortions. She actually called them Planned Parenthood abortion clinics. Newsflash: Those don’t exist. There are regular clinics that offer the service but none that are specific to any one procedure.
Planned Parenthood actually offers a lot of helpful services, like gynecology, breast exams, men’s health (sexual or otherwise), birth control (for men or women, even though it’s apparently the devil), abortions (gasp!), vaccines, testing for HIV and STDs as well as treatment for the latter, LGBT-friendly services, and they’ll even offer different health plans according to your income (if you have one) and work with you, not against you (like health insurers might).
So Mrs. Bachmann, please get your facts straight (is this even possible?) before you attack a non-profit organization such as Planned Parenthood that is not only a professionally conducted business, but also a health care provider who doesn’t care about pre-existing conditions.
Oh yeah, and “sex clinics” just sounds like whore house. Why must you think extensive medical care for students has to be directly related to sex? Why can’t school sickbays just be about making students feel better with more than a lie down and a tylenol? Stop your exaggerating and actually learn to read.
