Hollywood’s dress-and-bow-tie party, the big gig, the Hollywood extravaganza, etc, etc. Whatever you call the Oscars, they’re still clinging to their fame, despite a dwindling in popularity that had Oscar officials pretty worried last year. Though they’re usually hosted by big-name comedians — Ellen DeGeneres, Jon Stewart, Billy Crystal, Bob Hope — this year, they’re shaking up the standard funny-man formula.
Namely, because Hugh Jackman is set to host them. Multi-talented in acting, dancing and singing, Jackman’s warm sense of humor could also dazzle the evening. There’s no telling what could happen onstage on February 22nd, 2009.
