I know we are all sitting there waiting for our free moneys from the economic stimulus package that our Unitary Executive Decider has promised us, but while we wait we should focus on other news on the economic front. More and more Americans are finding themselves jobless as are economy falls into disrepair with layoffs between March and April 2008 rising by 68%. However, Bush seems quite confident that the stimulus package will help boost the economy, so stock up on 600 dollars worth of Eggo waffles and Spam at the local Wal-mart, before it is too late. If you are out of work you may need to invest that money in short term survival needs and not a new pair of Nike shoes. But hey, wall street is optimistic today too, and how often have they been wrong?
My only question is with rising prices at the gas pump and the grocery store, and the falling purchasing power of the dollar overseas will 600 dollars be enough?
