Remember when you were a kid and your parents would arrange play dates for you with other kids, usually those of their friends and neighbors? Those were fun. Know what’s more fun? Getting paid to play video games with lonely gamer dudes who want a gamer chick to talk to and/or flirt with.
GameCrush is a site that will shortly be launched just today and will allow gamer girls to sign up as a PlayDate with a profile for Players (the guys) to peruse and arrange gaming dates with. It’s like eHarmony for gamers but without the obligation to actually see or meet these people.
Right now there are under ten games to choose from to interact through, including a few Xbox 360 games like Modern Warfare 2, Grand Theft Auto 4, Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 (a lot of sequels, apparently). And a few casual games like checkers and battleship, etc.
Profiles can be set to “Flirty” or “Dirty”, which tells you right away that you can get serious with a guy you meet if you want to, or just have fun with no strings attached. Gamer Crush is free to sign up for but as a Player you pay to play with the PlayDates from anywhere between five and ten minutes.
I don’t know about you, but I’m interested in seeing how GameCrush will fare in the coming year or so, and just how desperate guys will get to play a video game with a real live girl.
