We have endured another year, and as has become tradition, the time has once again come for KK4 to look into his crystal ball again and predict what could occur based upon skillful analysis.
The end of the decade looms large in the minds of some who have come into their own in the past 10 or so years, and as we have changed immensely, so has our nation. The past decade has seen America, and the world, take dramatic turns for the worse. With the post 9-11 war on terror, and semi-related war in Iraq, American had embraced the notion of stripping away personal freedoms for the sake of protection from a shadowy force of boogey men who hated us for those freedoms. As a result of the fear and panic of a devastating attack on our collective psyche and economy, the government had free reign to erect a police state with the patriot act, domestic spying operations, extraordinary rendition and torture, not to mention secret CIA death squads. In addition, dictatorial powers were invested in the executive branch of the government, and with the flimsiest of pretexts martial law could be evoked abolishing our constitutional republican government. As of yet, none of these heinous and destructive acts have been remedied.
In addition to the wars and destruction of the American system of government, while we were all distracted by war in far off lands, and other causes of the day, our economy was seriously being mismanaged by those on Wall Street, the Treasury Department, and the Federal Reserve. To state what occurred most plainly; our entire economy was raped and looted. The looting started in the 90’s with the Clinton administration, and further accelerated with deregulation during the Bush II administration until there was nothing left to loot. For their mismanagement and greed the banks and financial institutions were handsomely rewarded with tax subsidies and their debts paid off on the American people.
Now let us move onward to the newly dawning decade and the year 2010, shall we?
2010 will see major political backlashes for the Democratic party and the Obama administration. The Democratic congress which was empowered by the voters with a mandate to stop the excesses of the Bush administration and restore government legitimacy has failed miserably to do so. In addition, the Democratic leadership is shamefully out of touch with the people which they have been elected by. As a result of this, and the growing discontentment with the job performance of Congress, there will be political upheavals and backlashes which will result in more freshman Democrats and Republicans, and more independents being elected who are not as ideologically driven nor will they be as easily controlled as incumbents.
The tea party movement will not come into its own as it has been co-opted and corrupted by right-wing gate keepers such as Glenn Beck and has lost ideological purity as a Libertarian alternative to the GOP and Democrats. However, other groups, such as the Campaign for Liberty, may be successful in helping to elect Libertarian minded freshman republicans and independents, especially in rural and southern districts.
As a result of the massive betrayals on the part of the Obama administration from its inception in the beginning of 2009, the administration will lose legitimacy and popularity much quicker than the previous Bush administration. The Obama administration has betrayed nearly every promise made during the campaign, has stacked the government with insiders, lobbyists and wall street insiders, has continued to mismanage the economy and has expanded the war on terror into Pakistan. As a result, POTUS Barack Obama will lose all legitimacy as his administration has betrayed those who voted for him and squandered the popular mandate for change in government.
However, the Obama administration may rebound if the war on terror is expanded, which it probably will be. As seen with the extremely suspicious attempted terrorist attack on Christmas Day, the rhetoric against Al Qaeda is heating up once more, and the new front in the war on terror will be Yemen on the southwestern edge of the Arabian Peninsula. The war on terror will expand further into the Arabian peninsula and into the horn of Africa. In addition, unrest in Pakistan, brought about by ethnic and religious turmoil as a result of the corrupt government, radicalization of their population, and the expansion of the war on terror into the tribal areas of Pakistan, will lead to widespread destabilization and the eventual collapse of the state within the next decade. Furthermore, the war on terror will be further expanded into the Central Asian republics which were once part of the USSR, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and possibly in to the Western reaches of China as radicalization continues as a result of economic hardships, corrupt governments, and disdain for the current geo-political realities.
An increase in sabre rattling against Iran will occur in the new year as the west continues to support dissidents following the Iranian elections of 2009, as well as funding terrorist groups inside of Iran to destabilize the nation. Israel may threaten air strikes upon Iran, but will not follow through with them because doing so would be the opening salvo of WWIII, which neither the Israelis, nor their American and NATO allies can possibly hope to win. Iranian dissidents will continue to cause unrest, however, which could lead to another crackdown, or possibly concessions on the part of the ruling mullahs.
In addition to false flag terror which will expand the war on terror further overseas, there will be great domestic unrest. The American economy, as well as the rest of the world economy, has not begun at all to recover, and all reports of recovery are sleight of hand, with massive infusions of tax dollars injected into the economy to keep the illusion of economic progress from collapsing. The state and local governments are bankrupted and organized labor has been sold out by the government and corporate interests, so expect to see more picketing from labor unions as budget cuts cause more and more professionals to be laid off. In addition to the discontent brought about by the failure of the economy, the growing discontent with the government, and the fact that the American people have been arming themselves during the past year, starting with the election of Obama, there will be the great possibility of legitimate homegrown extremism as well as false flag extremists. Expect violence from false flag groups and patsies as the government loses even more of its legitimacy.
The American dollar will continue to decline in value overseas and domestically, due to the massive deficit brought to us by the current and previous administrations, and every expanding size of government spirals out of control. Food prices will continue to increase as they have over the past two years or so as a result of environmentalist cons. Any carbon tax or cap and trade system that may or may be implemented will also lead to more taxes and the loss of jobs. The current health care bills in congress, if passed, will result in massive tax increases as the quality of care diminishes. There will be a further decrease in the American standard of living as a result of these developments. The decrease in American standards of living could lead to backlashes against immigrant communities, especially Latin American immigrant communities as they are more likely to be in the country illegally.
Finally, in 2010 I see the fall of the mainstream media as millions of Americans are beginning to wake up and see that the current state of journalism and broadcasting is woefully skewed and acting as a gatekeeper. People will lose faith in the legitimacy of the media as the legitimacy of the government is called more into question by the people and the media maintains that everything is fine. As a result, the influence of the internet and blogs will increase until it equals, if not surpasses the MSM by the middle of the next decade.
