The PGA Tour today announced a new policy on doping they will adopt in 2008. They have decided to ban anabolic agents, hormones, stimulants, narcotics, beta blockers and masking agents and not the entire World Anti-Doping Association choosing to avoid administrative burden.
I really can’t agree with this decision. You’ve got a sport comprised of mostly aging, overweight men and only one guy out of the bunch has any muscles. If there is a sport that could benefit from illegal steroid use, it’s Golf. Can you imagine the ratings if suddenly that fat-tittied bitch Daly started crushing 500 yard drives? How much more fun would Golf be if all the par 5 holes suddenly became par 3s? What if you blended the sport with that of strongman events? After putting into the hole, make Tiger pick up an anvil and run to the next tee.
Seriously, the PGA missed the boat on this one.
