I can’t really phrase it any more delicately than that. For the sake of a snappy title, I said Eric Holder, but reconsidering the Miranda right for terrorism suspects is the official position of the Obama administration, including the president himself. This would have made slightly more sense if law enforcement had been questioning that asshole Shahzad under the Miranda exception, he’d been spilling his guts, and when they finally read him his rights he shut up, but reality does not reflect that scenario. It instead reflects misguided, haphazard criticism from the GOP, and a tendency for Obama to cave when his political foes say mean things about him.
