Like all the other major party candidates for president and vice president, the Empress of Alaska cast her vote in front of a captive audience of photographers and reporters. When the news media inquired who she voted for, Sarah Palin took the same pro-privacy stance that she usually reserves for medical records and allegations of misconduct by refusing to answer. Which leads us to irresponsibly speculate: who did she vote for? One might surmise that if she had actually voted for John McCain/Sarah Palin, she would have said so. But perhaps Mrs. Palin made a conscious decision to “go rogue” one last time before the results came in and wrote herself in, with Todd as her vice president. “Do it, Sarah,” we can imagine her mavericky side cajoling her. “If you’re gonna be president in 2012, it’s time to show that old man who smells funny who the real future of the Republican Party is.”
