The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Published by Nintendo
Developed by Nintendo
Available for Nintendo DS October 2nd, 2007

Zelda fans rejoice! Link returns in this cell shaded adventure for the Nintendo DS. Unlike the grown up, darker Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass returns to the animation styled graphics of it’s predecessor The Wind Waker. Pushing the Nintendo DS to its limits, Phantom Hourglass combines classic Zelda game play with new twists.

As with most Zelda games, it begins with Link waking up and encountering a fairy named Ceila. Ceila acts as a cursor on the Nintendo DS touch screen allowing you to lead Link around and perform his various moves. Many classic Zelda controls are back, but the developers created new ways to utilize them. Tapping on an enemy with the stylus launches a quick thrusting attack. Draw a line between Link and the enemy and he’ll launch a sideways slashing attack. Draw a circle around Link and he launches his powerful spin attack.

Like it’s predecessors, Phantom Hourglass promises to be chock full of puzzles. With the new ways of interacting with Link and the world around him, you can be sure there will creative dungeons and epic bosses. Pick up Phantom Hourglass tomorrow wherever it is you like to purchase video games.
